Tous vos déplacements en Poitou-Charentes

Regional actions

There are hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths in Poitou-Charentes, in town or in the form of dedicated green paths. You will find information on véloroutes and voies vertes on the website Destinations Poitou-Charentes and, if you do not own your own bike, some towns have set up bike hire services (see below).
CommentJV in some cases, gives you the possibility of doing part of your journey by bike, when the calculated distance indicates that it can be done within a reasonable time. This journey time is an estimate as CommentJV does not have information about cycle paths or any difficulties you may encounter on your journey.

The "Code Vélo": Cycling is a means of transport that combats the environmental, economic and health problems in our society. Its use is therefore one of the priorities of the Poitou-Charentes Region with "Code Vélo: le permis liberté en Poitou-Charentes".

Within this field, the Region has set up a range of subsidies aimed at businesses, local authorities and associations. You will find more information on the website of Poitou-Charentes Region.

Taking bikes on board TER trains: The Region is investing in modern trains with slots for bikes. Transporting bikes is free of charge in Poitou-Charentes TER trains, so long as there is adequate space and the passenger takes full responsibility for their bike.
